My name is Dario Castagna and, as your host and an enthusiast of Lake Como, I would be happy to tell you all I know about the area and the sports activities at your disposal. In everyday life I manage an apartment hotel in Milan but, as soon as I can get away, I escape to the greenery and pure air of Lake Como to relax and indulge in sports. I regularly go climbing with friends and family on the many rock faces nearby and spend a lot of time practising one or other of the numerous sporting activities being organized daily in the close vicinity. Sport & nature
CANYONING
The nearest trail for all CANYONING lovers is placed at Sorico: there is a narrow creek with not much water, where you head down always with a rope. The landscape is really evocative and it will go along with you during the entire trail, lasting 3-4 hours. We suggest visiting this creek from spring to autumn.
We also need to mention the most famous and beautiful places and trails of Alto Lario which can be reached by car: the well-known Val Bodengo arises behind the mountains surrounding Darengo Lake and it ends at Gordona in the district of Sondrio.
Here you can find trails suitable for those who want to practice canyoning for the first time but also medium difficulty and even more challenging trails.
